God's Protection

We had a busy weekend, so I told Lyle I would help him work on his bird project when we got home from the Mexico Meeting on Sunday. Well, when we got home I was soooooo tired!! I decided to take a nap and told Lyle we would work on it later. I was startled wide awake by a HUGE crashing sound and the sound of breaking glass. Bob and I immediately jumped up and yelled for both of the kids to make sure they were okay.

We came into the office to find this:

A large cabinet had came off the wall, crashed into the desk, knocked the office chair over, and the chair leg hit Bob's bookcase and broke the glass. The cabinet had been up there for 14 years, but recently Bob had stored some heavy things up there, and apparently it was just too much weight.

We were all just shaking when we thought about the fact that Lyle and I would have been sitting right there had I not decided to take a nap. Who knows what would have happened to us both. Praise the Lord for His protection of us even when we don't know we need it!!

Several things were broken, and we will have to replace our monitor. But "things" can be replaced; people can't!

  1. That is truly God's protection. Wow! Glad everyone is safe.

I enjoyed lunch yesterday but obviously we didn't have time to get everything discussed...like this!
